Renée von Paschen
Professional literary translator, poet and university teacher. Born in Canada, Renée von Paschen is at home in Europe & North America. Renée has translated dozens of authors from French & German into English. She writes poems because she translates them and vice versa. She creates her own poetry in English and German and re-creates French and German works in English. It’s a language game either way. She has a M.A. in Gender Studies and a Ph.D in Theater, Film & Media Studies from the University of Vienna, where she teaches. Renée is also adjunct professor of theatre and performing arts at Webster University.
